Before Your Appointment
Why Being on Time Matters

Nail appointments are carefully scheduled so that every client receives the right amount of time, attention and care.
Even a delay of 10–15 minutes can affect the appointments that follow, especially on a fully booked day. If you know that you are running late, please send your nail technician a quick message as soon as possible.
This helps her understand the situation and adjust the schedule where possible.
Depending on the length of the delay, detailed nail art, additional designs or extra services may need to be simplified or moved to another appointment. This is never intended to make a client feel uncomfortable. It simply helps prevent further delays for clients who are booked later in the day.
It is also worth remembering that nail technicians may occasionally run behind schedule too.
A previous appointment may take longer than expected due to a difficult repair, detailed nail art, an unexpected problem with the natural nail or another situation that could not have been predicted.
Sometimes even one small delay early in the day can create a domino effect throughout the schedule. Your nail technician will always do her best to catch up, but never at the expense of hygiene, safety or the quality of your service.
Unexpected situations happen to everyone.
When Should You Contact Your Nail Technician?

One Last Favour...

A professional manicure should feel comfortable and secure.
If something doesn't feel right, don't wait until your next appointment.
Contact your nail technician if you notice:
-
A broken nail – especially if the natural nail may also be damaged.
-
Pain or tenderness – your nails should never cause ongoing pain.
-
Lifting – even a small area can allow moisture to become trapped underneath the product.
-
A green spot or unusual discolouration – this should always be assessed before the next appointment.
-
Cracks in the product – even if they seem small, they can quickly become larger.
-
The product has completely come off – don't try to glue it back on yourself.
-
Signs of infection or inflammation – redness, swelling, heat or discharge should always be assessed by a healthcare professional.
Don't Be Afraid to Message
Your nail technician would much rather receive a quick message and a photo than have a small problem turn into a much bigger one.
Many issues can be resolved quickly if they're caught early.
Remember...
There is no such thing as a silly question when it comes to the health of your nails.
If you're simply unsure whether something looks normal, send a photo. It's always better to ask than to guess.
If you've enjoyed your experience at Magnolia Beauty Studio, there's one small thing that can make a huge difference to a small business like mine.
